"This sparky woman has done so much, lived so much, crammed so much in. Most of all she has informed our appreciation of British and North American folk music like very, very few people have." (Ken Hunt, fRoots)
Indeed she has, and listen in as she tells us all about it in this informal conversation with Jackie Oates. The chat will be open for questions if you have anything you would like to ask.
Peggy Seeger was born in America and has lived in the UK for more than 60 years, and she has been at the centre of the folk music scene for all that time. She has done too much to fit in to a brief biography - the story of her life could fill a book, and since the publication of her memoir, First Time Ever: A Memoir, in 2017 that is exactly what it has done.
We are incredibly honoured to have Peggy as part of the festival, and looking forward to listening in as her and Jackie chat about music and life.
