Oxford’s historic Covered Market is a must for visitors to the city, dating back to the 1770s.  Whilst it is packed with over 50 independent traders there is an area in the middle where there are chairs and tables for an audience to enjoy our local acts. Do try out the cafes in the market.  Gulp Fiction has been a good friend to FWO and makes a great cup of coffee.

The Covered Market is, of course, also home to the Folk Weekend:Oxford festival hub. If you need anything from information, to gig, workshop and dance tickets pop in and see us. The hub is in the centre of the Covered Market, most easily accessible from the Golden Cross Shopping Centre entrance. Opposite Wicked Chocolate, directly next to Gulp Fiction, and in sight of Pieminister! Our little patch of heaven!
