Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer

Vicki and Jonny are two of the most versatile musicians of the folk circuit today. On stage - and now online - the duo are recognised for the high quality of their polished concerts; not only their charismatic singing and playing but also by their involving, winning presence and easy rapport, their polished delivery that genuinely respects their listeners, and their lively, informed backstories.

Tom Kitching presents ‘Seasons of Change’

Tom Kitching presents 'Seasons of Change' - Busking England

For 18 months, Tom Kitching busked the length of England, getting to know his own country better. From Carlisle to Cornwall, London to Bolton, and all places between. He found an England quite impossible to neatly define, richly varied, always surprising, full of character and characters, all faithfully recorded in his popular blog.

Nancy Kerr and James Fagan

Twice winners of “Best Duo” at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (2003, 2011), Nancy Kerr and James Fagan are one of the best-known and most experienced folk duos on the British circuit today. Outstanding musicianship and a lifelong grounding in traditional singing and instrumental playing make Kerr and Fagan a perennial favourite at festivals, venues and clubs across the country.

Sam Carter

In the ten years since winning Best Newcomer at the 2010 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Sam Carter has earned a reputation for vivid, narrative-driven songwriting and captivating live performances. Having made a spell-binding appearance on ​Later... with Jools Holland ​in 2012, Sam has gone on to tour the world, sharing stages with some of the finest guitarists and songwriters, including Nic Jones, Martin Simpson, Richard Thompson, and Chris Wood.

Nick Hart

Nick Hart is a folk singer deeply rooted in the English tradition. Raised in a family of morris dancers, Nick played instrumental music for many years before discovering his passion for traditional song. Whilst studying for an ethnomusicology degree, he began to explore the large body of recordings of traditional singers from the second half of the 20th century, and this led to several years of fevered study and many nights spent at folk clubs and festivals, honing his skills as an unaccompanied singer.

Lucy Ward

Her voice is breathtaking; this captivating and powerful performer and has a unique ability to inhabit the very heart of every song.

Morris at Folk Weekend
